The topics?

Why is bipartisanship dead? And why is Obama so non-bipartisan.

Of course I kid. It’s all about the stimulus bill passage. Axelrod obviously touts the job creation in the bill, and I think it’s pretty clear at this point that 2012 will be all about this bill.

Check it out…

What did you think? How many jobs will the stimulus plan create? 4 million or only 2.2M as cited by Moody’s Mark Zandi?

How many jobs will the stimulus plan create or SAVE, I believe is the current “promise.”

Call me cynical, but somehow I think the bill will create exactly the number Obama wants it to–you cannot measure jobs saved, not really. If we see 1 million jobs created in the next four years, I’m sure he will claim that he saved 3 million jobs that would have otherwise been lost without it due to the Bush presidency.

Am I already turning on Obama?

    Listen,

Nobody can know with any certainty how many jobs this plan can create, except the overburdening number of jobs needed to continually grow the size of the Gov, and that alone can’t be good. But one thing I do know is that the opposition coming from the Repub. party and many partisan commentators is disingenuous. They ignorantly refer to this stimulus plan as wanted liberal entitlement spending and wish-list pork projects being forced upon them w/o any bipartisanship. What a pile of bull$%*!

By most people’s perceptions, this is a mess that the Republican party created wth exactly the same bad governance that they’re now whining about. We all need to step back and trust our better judgments and give the new guys a chance at gettin it right.

Just ask yourself these simple questions: Where was this media scrutiny during the build-up to the Iraq war and later when we wasted Billions and Billions rebuilding bridges and airports – in Iraq! Where were these partisan hacks when the banks created the worst economic disaster in our lifetimes? Oh, let’s not look backwards, only forwards to fix our problems. That’s what the Repubs will do now that they have a new agenda: the strategy of NO, to do anything to stop what the Dems can come up with to fix the mess they handed us. It is very frustrating.

You are being too generous with the GOP….everyone keeps — wrongly — saying that the war in Iraq and Afghanistan led to obscene budget deficits.

There is no denying that the wars resulted in hyper-deicit spending (just made that term up, kinda like it), but the truth is the war(s) spending was “off the books”–the year to year budgets under Bush and the GOP were all deficit budgets…every single one.

Disingenuous is too kind of a word for a group that intentionally over spends to line the pockets of its supporters while at the same time attempting to strangle government so they can rationalize gutting social programs and government oversight. It’s a vicious cycle that plays directly in to their hands when they are not in power.

Moody’s? Are those the samegeniuses who spent the last 5 years rating collateralized debt obligations as AAA investment grade?

No idea if Team Obama is right. As someone else pointed out, it’s impossible to measure very accurately. And let’s face it, everyone is guessing. But i do know I’m skeptical of whatever Moody’s says. Instead of issuing opinions about job growth, those guys should all be busy fleeing the country before we get the crucifixions organized.
